VADODARA: At least four people were killed while six others suffered injuries after a blast that took place at a chemical unit in the Makarpura area in Gujarat’s Vadodara on Friday morning.
The incident took place at the unit of Canton Laboratories Pvt Ltd located near the Vadsar railway over-bridge.
The incident took place around 10am.
The residents of nearby areas even claimed that their homes shook due to the blast.
Sources in the Vadodara fire and emergency services said that around 10 people were injured in the blast.
Four of them succumbed to the injuries.
Vadodara mayor Keyur Rokadiya, police commissioner Shamsher Singh and other senior officials rushed to the spot.
