Dibrugarh: Many times, there are small little things that happen in and in and around us and remain unnoticed.
These things mean a lot for the underprivileged and economically weaker section of society. The Tirap-Changlang-Longding districts in eastern Arunachal Pradesh have always been known to be insurgency prone.
Here, people have to suffer for their basic amenities and needs. Lack of proper health care services is one of them.
In order to provide relief and succor to the people of Borduria and its nearby areas, social worker and prominent person Wangman Lowangcha organised a mega eye check-up camp at the Borduria Club today. Around 200 people were examined by doctors and optometrists from AMCH, Dibrugarh.
Many of them were distributed with free spectacles and medicines. In return, the villagers heaped praises upon Lowangcha for his noble deeds and kind gesture.
In return, Lowangcha also reiterated that he will continue to serve the people as much as he can. ‘Eyes are the gift of God, therefore, I have decided to take up this initiative and I am thankful to Bright Vision NE for conduct of the eye camp”, Lowangcha said.
It might be mentioned that the entire cost of the camp was borne by Lowangcha and conducted by Bright Vision NE, a Dibrugarh based NGO and doctors and optometrists from AMCH.
