Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a man working in a sweet factory in the Dhirenpara area in Assam’s Guwahati was killed after a guard wall collapsed and fell on him on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Mukhtar Ali.
According to reports, Mukhtar was working at the factory premises time of the tragedy and was later found buried beneath the rubble.
The incident occurred due to the continuous heavy rainfall that has been pounding Guwahati over the past few days.
Meanwhile, the body was recovered and sent for post-mortem.
The small business unit, located on Sonali Path in the Dhirenpara locality, was severely affected by the collapsing wall.
After incident the city police of the Guwahati and SDRF rushed to the spot and rescue the deceased person.
