Guwahati: Four students, who have appeared HSLC-2023 from Dibrugarh brought laurels by securing ranks.
Debangana Deka of Little Flower Higher Secondary school bagged fourth rank in the Matric examination. Debangana Deka got hundred marks in four subjects. In Science, English, General Maths and Advance Maths, she got cent percent marks.
Debangana is the daughter of Dr Rasadhar Deka and Binita Deka of Niz Kodomoni, Dibrugarh. Her father is a Professor at Dhubri Medical College and mother is working as headmistress at Paltanbazar Durga Mandir High School.

Talking to reporters, Debangana Deka said, “I didn’t expect that I would get fourth rank in the Matric exam. I expected good position. Their is no particular time of my study, I study upto six hours a day during my examination. Everybody supported me during my examination. I would like to give the credit to my teachers, parents, friends and all my well wishers. I will go to science stream and in future I want to become a doctor. I am very happy with my result,”.
“Apart from studies I like painting and singing. I am learning singing classes. My family members inspired me a lot. When I heard that today I result will be declared I am afraid and declaration of the result I can’t believe it,” Debangana said.
On the other hand, another student Bonashree Gogoi of Little Flower Higher secondary school bagged 9th rank in the Matic exam.
Bonashree Gogoi is the daughter of Raktim Gogoi and Loni Gogoi of Jibon Phukan Nagar, Dibrugarh. Her father Raktim Gogoi is a businessmen.

“I am very happy with my result and I would like to give the credit to my parents, teachers and friends. Everybody is very supportive. I studied five to six hours during my exam. Today, I can’t expres my hapiness,”.
Bonashree is also a good table tenis player who had represented district level tournament and won many prizes.
Similarly, Akshay Kayal of Don Bosco Higer secondary school, Dibrugarh secured 6th rank in the Matric exam. Akshay is a son of Kailash Kayal and Priti Kayal of Marwaripatty puja ghat, Dibrugarh. Kailash Kayal is working as LIC agent.

Akshay Kayal said, “I am very happy with my result. My parents provided me good environment. My friends supported me a lot and they motivated me that ‘I can do it’. I studied four to five hours a day. When the question paper were leaked, I feel bad. It didn’t down my moral because everybody supports me a lot and I would like to thank everyone for showering blessings to me,”.
On the other hand, Swati Kiron Gogoi of St Xavier’s Higher Secondary school, Duliajan secured fourth rank.
Swati Kiron Gogoi is the daughter of Jayanta Gogoi and Anita Gogoi of Duliajan. Jayanta Gogoi and Anita Gogoi both were teacher. Anita Gogoi is a teacher at Bordumsa.
“I would like to give all the credits to my father Jayanta Gogoi. He worked hard for me. I am very happy with the result because I have not expected that I will secured fourt rank,” Swati Kiron Gogoi said.
Santipara Bengali High School and Dibrugarh Bengali High School has good a good result in the Matic this year. From Santipara Bengali High School, a total of 28 students appeared for the Matric and out of that 26 students passed. Ten students secured first division while 16 students secured second division marks. Deep Das secured 82 per cent with star marks.
On the other hand, 27 students from Dibrugarh Bengali High School appeared in the Matric exam and all of the students have passed. Four students secured first division, 18 students got second division marks and five students secured 3rd division.
A total of 15215 students from Dibrugarh appeared in HSCL exam-2023, out of that 9856 students passed. 3299 students secured first division, 4437 got second division and 2120 students secured third division marks.
