Assam fully prepared for Kanwar Yatra-2023

GUWAHATI: Assam-The epicenter of Hindu consciousness & conscience is full prepared for the Kanwar-Yatra 2023 .

The Kanwar-Yatra commenced on 4 July and it will end on August 15 .

Holy Brahmaputra river water will be offered to Lord Shiva in thousands of Shiva temples including the most famous Siva Daul in Sivasagar district, Shivadham temple in Tinsukia district and Umananda temple in capital Guwahati.

Sources in administrations said that 1,379 CCTV cameras have been installed at sensitive places. More than 3,000 policemen have been deployed for the Yatras security.

All the police stations , Fire stations and Emergency crews are on high alert.

Special drones would be used for surveillance on bridges like Dr Bhupen Hazarika Setu, Bogibeel bridge and other sensitive places from the security point of view.

Heavy traffic has been banned on highways which would be diverted to alternative routes.
