Assam: Minister Ashok Singhal inaugurates park at Dibrugarh

GUWAHATI, OCT 17: With the aim of providing green space and recreation to citizens, Assam minister of housing and urban affairs & Irrigation Ashok Singhal on Monday inaugurated a park at Nirmali Gaon in Dibrugarh constructed under the AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) project.

Lahowal MLA Binod Hazarika, Dibrugarh MLA Prasanta Phukan, Assam Tourism Development Corporation chairman Rituparna Baruah, Dibrugarh DC Biswajit Pegu, Assam Housing Board vice chairman Subhash Dutta, Dibrugarh Municipal Board chairperson Dr Saikat Patra, vice chairman Ujjal Phukon were among those present on the occasion.

The components of the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) consist of capacity building, reform implementation, water supply, sewerage and septage management, storm water drainage, urban transport and development of green spaces and parks.
