GUWAHATI, JAN 8: Team India’s star batsmans arrived in Guwahati for an ODI match between India and Sri Lanka at Barsapara on January 10.
Assam will hold 50 overs International cricket matche between India and Sri Lanka. This match will be held on January 10 at Barshapara Stadium in Guwahati.
Indian cricketers Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Shreyas Santosh Iyer arrived at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA) in Borjhar, Guwahati on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) geared up for the upcoming Cricket match and taking all precautionary measures for the smooth conduct of the match.
Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday visited Barsapara Cricket stadium to take stock of the same before India-Sri Lanka match.
The ACA has sold over 17,000 tickets for the ODI match and the Barsapara Cricket Stadium has a seating capacity of 40,000 people.
Talking to media persons, ACA president Taranga Gogoi said, “To make things easier for the people who find it difficult to book online tickets, there have been arrangements to sell tickets offline as well. Tickets have been dispatched to our affiliated units as well so as to enable the cricket enthusiasts of the respective places to buy tickets with ease,”.
