GUWAHATI, SEP 8: A district level refresher training workshop on Prohibition of Child Marriage Act (PCMA) was organised by the Dibrugarh district administration in collaboration with Indo-Global Social Service Society-UNICEF and District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner Biswajit Pegu with the aim of increasing technical knowledge on Prohibition of Child Marriage Act and enhance coordination with all the concerned departments like education, social welfare, police, health as well as NGOs.
The key resource person was Bitul Chetia, additional SP of Dibrugarh and LN Pegu, secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Dibrugarh.
In the workshop ADC (social welfare), district social welfare officer, inspector of school, block development officers, child development project officers, officials of district child protection units, special juvenile police unit, sarba siksha abhiyan, special cell for women and CINI (Child in Need Institute) were present.
