BJP to win in bigger margin in 3 northeast state elections: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Guwahati: Assam chief minister and NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said BJP will emerge as victorious in the three states elections.

Speaking to reporters, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “I think more or less I feel status quo in goverance will maintain as BJP will concerned. BJP will emerge as an important power in Meghalaya. In Nagaland we are going to form government with NDPP and in Tripura we are going to retain power by a bigger majority. If you look at from outside it looks like their are some activities in Tripura but the biggest asset from BJP is the goodwill of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Garib Kalyan programme of Prime minister and a kind of transformation BJP government and Tripura has brought,”.

“During the CPI(M) rule their was terror from government and police and everything was in chaos. But now you will see a new Tripura under BJP rule. So, I believe bigger and bigger victory margin for BJP in this elections,” Sarma asserted.

Meanwhile, BJP on Thursday announced a list of 20 candidates for the upcoming Nagaland assembly polls. The party during its meeting in New Delhi has decided to field BJP Nagaland state president Temjen Imna Along from the Alongtaki Legislative assembly constituency.
