Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that Congress is crying when Manipur has been limping back to normalcy.
Talking to reporters in Dibrugarh on Saturday, Assam CM, who is also chief convenor of NEDA said, “Now Congress is crying when Manipur is limping back to normalcy. The situation in Manipur has been improved day by day and within 10 days more improvement can be seen and everything will be fine,”.
“Now Congress is crying for Manipur, when relative peace has come, they should have cry when volatile situation in Manipur. That point of time they not gone to Manipur neither they commented on Manipur. Manipur is almost limping back to normalcy, now they are (Congress) talking about the state. The situation of Manipur has much improved and within few days normalcy will return in the state,” NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
He further added, “Silently Manipur government and and Union home ministry has been working to bring peace and normalcy in the state. Now, we can see what was the violence in Manipur and the level of violence today in Manipur. Discussion with stakeholders has been going on to bring back peace,”.
