Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankar arrives in Assam

GUWAHATI, SEP 22: Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankar on Thursday arrived in Guwahati. Jagdeep Dhankar’s first visit in Assam after becoming Vice President of India.  He is scheduled to inaugurate folk festival ‘Lokmanthan-2022’, organised by cultural organisation Prajna Pravah at the Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra. He is also slated to visit the Kamakhya Temple, atop the Nilachal Hills, before leaving for New Delhi in the evening, the officials said. “Honoured to welcome Adarniya Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar ji along with Hon Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi ji at LGBI Airport,” Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said in a tweet. “Hon VP will address #Lokmanthan, an intellectual discourse to promote Indian ethos, being held at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati,” he added.
