CM Bommai

Basavaraj Bommai, the chief minister of Karnataka, promised to take harsh action against anyone responsible for the “Join PFI” posters that have been put up in Shivamogga’s Shiralakoppa. On orders from the Ministry of Home Affairs and following a thorough investigation by the National Investigation Agency, the Popular Front of India (PFI) was outlawed in September 2022.

After it was discovered that the radical group was engaging in “subversive activities, undermining the constitutional set up of the country, and encouraging a terror-based regressive regime,” it was deemed an “unlawful association.”

Speaking with reporters from the media, CM Bommai claimed that since PFI was banned, its “frustrated” activists had turned to graffiti.

“The use of pro-PFI placards will be strongly denounced. They should not act in this manner in order to cause uncertainty in society “The chief minister of Karnataka stated. It was a “desperate deed,” he said.

“These types of writing on the walls are a sign of desperation, and the police have already intervened. They have gotten desperate and aim to confuse society as a result of banning all of these organisations, which I deplore “said Bommai.

DISPUTE OVER THE KARNATAKA-MAHARASHTRA BODER
Speaking about the dispute along the Karnataka-Maharashtra border, CM Bommai said it was inappropriate for Maharashtra ministers to travel to tense Belagavi and that they had already been informed of his viewpoint in writing.

“Everyone is aware that anyone can move freely anywhere, but in the interest of maintaining law and order, instructions are given to police and revenue officials to take appropriate legal action against them,” the man claimed.

“It’s not the correct thing to do. Despite the fact that the border dispute has long since been resolved, the State of Maharashtra has filed a petition with the Supreme Court. The two states are engaged in legal disputes. Karnataka and Maharashtra have friendly relations. I will urge my counterpart in Maharashtra that nobody should attempt to disturb the law and order situation in Karnataka “said CM Bommai.
