HC orders the Yuva Morcha of the BJP to alter the route of their rally on November 14
The BJP’s Yuva Morchato was ordered by the Calcutta High Court on Friday to alter the path of his planned protest against the dengue spread in the state. In an effort to draw attention to the growing number of dengue-positive cases in West Bengal, the BJP’s Yuva Morcha has suggested holding a rally on November 14 from Rashbehari to Chetla in south Kolkata. However, the police refused to give its approval, claiming that two further gatherings were scheduled for the same day and same location. The BJP approached the High Court to request permission. Justice Rajasekhar Mantha ordered the BJP to alter the path of their rally after hearing the case. The decision was made to hold the rally from New Alipore to Chetla on the same day.
