After the huge success of the first instalment of ‘Dream Girl’ and Ayushmann’s character Pooja. The makers are all set with the second instalment of the movie. Recently, the makers released an announcement video giving a sneak-peak into the second part of the movie. Ayushmann Khurana will play the lead in the film, just like in the first instalment. His lady love Nushrratt Bharuccha has been replaced by Ananya Panday in the sequel.
The teaser begins with Ayushmann pointing a finger at the recent social media “boycott” trend. Ayushmann was seen bringing back both Pooja and his character from the first part. The phrase “Bollywood ko nazar lag gyi hai” was in the video. To which Ayushmann replied, “Haan bhai, DVD pe chala raha hoon fir bhi nhi chal rahi, isliye Mathura aaya hoon.”
Netizens have been anticipating the second part to be as good as the first part ever since Ananya and Ayushmann posted the teaser video. Sharing the video, Ayushmann wrote: “Aapki Dream Girl Phir se aa rahi hai, miliye Pooja se 29th June 2023 ki Eid par. Dream Girl 2 in cinemas on 29th June 2023.”

Dream Girl 2 is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. Apart from Ayushmann Khurana and Ananya Panday, the movie will also feature actors like Paresh Rawal, Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Seema Pahwa, Manjot Singh, and Abhishek Banerjee in supporting parts.
