Silver medal winners in Commonwealth games, Radha Yadav and Yastika Bhatia received a grand welcome on their arrival at Vadodara airport on Wednesday. It is a moment to celebrate as women cricketers, fans all present there to receive the cricketers whose brilliant performance at all the matches gives a glimpse of bright future of women cricket in India.
Indian women team gave brilliant performance in Commonwealth games and won their matches to reach finals to face Australia. However they lost to the world champions in a close contest match and won Silver medal. Although India lost the match but the performance of players were noticiable. Radha Yadav and Yastika Bhatia also made their mark with their performances and lead the way for upcoming women cricketers.
After the brilliant performance both cricketers from Baroda reached their hometown on Wednesday receiving a grand welcome at the airport. Baroda Cricket Association officials welcome both the cricketers and congratulated them for the feat.
Both cricketers said, although its sad to miss the gold but winning Silver medal in Commonwealth games is a great achievement. Now they will focus on the next target and play for the win. Every match is memorable as each team was competitive and the support they get from fans and country is tremendous. They are previliged to play both the country and continue to perform for the team. Both feel the future of women cricket is bright in the country.
