The Opposition hits out BJP for Morbi bridge collapse here are the tweeter reaction

Over a hundred people were killed when a bridge in Morbi collapsed, prompting criticism of the Gujarati government’s ruling BJP party from opposition groups.

Randeep Singh Surjewala, a Congress member, referred to the situation as a “man-made disaster” and accused the Gujarat BJP administration of being responsible.

“This catastrophe was caused by human error; it is not a natural disaster. This horrible incident is directly the fault of the Gujarat BJP government, according to a tweet from Surjewala.

Besides criticising the compensation offered for the deceased kin, Surjewala also targeted Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Congress MP said in the tweet, “PM and CM cannot escape their accountability by providing rupee 2 lakh compensation for the life of the Gujarati brothers and sisters.

Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, requested a thorough probe into the incident and stern punishment for the offenders.

The bridge was only recently restored, thus the government should investigate to determine what caused the collapse and punish those responsible, according to the chief minister of Rajasthan.

Binoy Viswam, the secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPl), questioned the Gujarat government’s carelessness.

“The Gujarat cable bridge collapse exposes the BJP government’s egregious carelessness. Its restoration was reportedly completed five days ago. From where did the contractors get their bravery? Increases in salary are required. To reveal political participation, a trustworthy investigation should be conducted, the CPI leader stated.

Speaking on behalf of the TMC, Kunal Ghosh charged the BJP with endangering people’s lives solely for political gain.

The TMC spokesperson expressed hope that a state BJP delegation led by SM, DG, and SA would visit Gujarat to research ways to cut money out of bridges, play with people’s lives for political effect, collapse the aid and medical systems, and demonstrate the overall failure of the so-called double engine government.

In Gujarat’s Morbi district on Sunday night, cable bridge that was crossing the Machchhu river collapsed, killing over hundred people and injuring many more.  After renovation, the cable bridge was reopened five days ago.
