At least four individuals, including the general secretary of the Murshidabad District Congress, the president of a Trinamool Congress ward in Siliguri, and a police inspector in Kolkata, passed away in West Bengal in the last 24 hours after receiving a dengue diagnosis.
However, it was noted on the death certificates of Nantu Pal, a local resident, and Vishnu Saha, the TMC president of Ward 23 of the Siliguri municipality, that the two passed away from “multiple organ failure.”
It has been discovered that both individuals had dengue. Saha’s family reported that he was given a dengue diagnosis despite having kidney-related issues. The TMC leader passed away on Sunday night after being admitted to a private hospital.
Mohammad Zahar, the general secretary of the District Congress in Murshidabad, passed away on Monday morning in a public hospital in Kolkata. Adhiranjan Chowdhury, the president of the state Congress, expressed sorrow at the passing. According to officials, Utpal Nashkar, an inspector with the Kolkata Police, passed away as a result of the vector-borne illness.
