Parallels were drawn between Congressman Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, which began at Hyderabad’s Charminar on Tuesday, and Rajiv Gandhi’s Sadbhavana Yatra, which began there 32 years prior. In his tweet, Rahul Gandhi also made reference to Rajiv Gandhi’s “Sadbhavna Yatra,” vowing to prevent “sadbhavna” from being quashed by any power that sows division.

Supriya Shrinate, a spokesperson for the Congress, claimed that for the past 32 years, “Rajiv se Rahul tak,” the aroma of peace and prosperity had permeated the Charminar.
