On Wednesday, an official announced that CV Ananda Bose would take the oath of office as West Bengal’s new governor.
According to him, Bose, who was appointed governor on November 17, would take his oath at the Raj Bhavan.
The official announced on Tuesday that the programme will feature Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and other dignitaries, including Assembly Speaker Biman Bandyopadhyay and Leader of the Opposition Suvendhu Adhikary.
The chief justice of the high court administers the oath to the governor. La Ganesan will be replaced as governor by Bose, a retired IAS official from the 1977 batch who served in the Kerala cadre.
Before retiring in 2011, he worked as the National Museum’s administrator in Calcutta.
