‘I beg you to wear your seat belts’: Dia Mirza after the news of former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry’s car accident.

On Sunday, Cyrus Mistry, former chairman of Tata Sons, lost his life in a road accident after his car collided with a divider in Maharashtra. Reportedly, He was not wearing his seat belt. As a result of not wearing a seat belt, many people have to suffer. Bollywood Actress and Social Activist Dia Mirza took to twitter to urge people to wear seat belts while travelling in a car, writing, “I beg you to wear your seat belts. Teach your children to wear seat belts. It saves lives.”

After this tweet, netizens praised Dia for using social media to raise awareness among youth. One follower wrote, “This is how celebrities should use their voices, for things that matter. Well said Dia.” Another said,“Problem is when co-passenger sitting at the front wears then he is told don’t worry there are no police on this route. When passengers sitting at the rear wear seat belts others laugh at them”.

Following the incident, many celebrities were spotted mourning his loss. Suniel Shetty tweeted, “Shocking News. Rest in Peace Cyrus Mistry. Heartfelt condolences to the family.” Anupam Kher wrote,”Deeply saddened to know about the untimely demise of Cyrus Mistry in a road accident. My condolences to his family and friends! Om Shanti.” Boman Irani also too took to Twitter and wrote, “Shocked and saddened by the news of the passing of Cyrus Mistri. A giant loss for the country, the business world and the Parsi community. Too young, too sad.”
