Guwahati: The four-day Ambubachi mela fest has already started in the Kamakhya temple from Thursday midnight, devotees from all over India gathered at the temple to take blessings of Maa Kamakhya Devi.
At least lakhs of devotees has started thronging in the Ambubachi fest but thanks to the NF Railways Bharat Scouts and Guides for maintain disciplined crowd management in Kamakhya temple. It has been seen that they are handling the situation in a decent and professional manner.
“We have taken training on scouts and today we are following the application which we were taught during our training programme. This was my first time as a member of Bharat Scouts and Guides. Devotees all over Indian came here to take blessing of Maa Kamakhya how can we say them to go out from the temple premises but we have to follow the instruction given from the district administration,” said one of the member of Bharat Scouts and Guide.
Everyone is praising them for the work in maintaining the crowd at temple premises. Devotees coming from all over India to take blessing from Maa Kamakhya were disappointed after the main door of the temple was closed at 9 pm.
Earlier, the temple door was open for the devotees, sadhus and sanyasis but this time the the door was closed for all of them.
“We have come over from Gujarat to pray but we are told to go out from the temple because the door will be shut down at 9 pm. We are very much disappointed because we want to sat in front of the Devalaya but it was not given,” said a devotee.
