Assam: Amritpal Singh’s uncle Harjit Singh, two others shifted to Dibrugarh jail

Dibrugarh, Mar 21: Apart from pro-Khalistani leader Harjeet Singh, two more associates of Amritpal Singh was flown to upper Assam, Dibrugarh on Tuesday.

Two of them has been identified as- Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal and Gurinder Pal Singh.

They were arrested by Punjab police on Monday after launching massive crackdown against Khalistani supporters.

Sources said on 11.44 am on Tuesday two of them were brought to Central Jail, Dibrugarh and lodged at cell no 13.

Harjeet Singh, uncle of Amritpal Singh was also arrested on Monday and on Tuesday he was brought to Dibrugarh in a special fligh at around 7 am and lodged in Central Jail, Dibrugarh.

Meanwhile, Punjab Police have launched a massive manhunt against the ‘Waris Punjab De’ group members in the state and so far over 100 arrest were done and many of them were detained.

Sources said seven members of ‘Waris Punjab De’ members were lodged in Central Jail, Dibrugarh and many more are likely to be lodged in the jail.

Earlier, on March 19, four members of ‘Waris Punjab De’ were brought to Central Jail, Dibrugarh.

They has been identified as -Daljeet Kalsi, Basant Singh, Gurmeet Singh Bhukhanwala and Bhagwant Singh alias Pradhan Mantri Bajeke who were charged under the National Security Act (NSA) are currently lodged at the Dibrugarh Central Jail.
