ASSAM: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma paying no attention to our plea; Nilotpal Gogoi’s family members

Guwahati: The family members of Nilotpal Gogoi on June 24 alleged that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is paying no attention to their plea.

The family members had appealed earlier the chief minister of Assam to order a CBI investigation into the mysterious death of Nilotpal Gogoi in Tezpur University hostel.

” Today we performed “Tiloni ” of Nilotpal. The chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is paying no attention to our plea for CBI investigation. Nilotpl’s mother’s health condition is worsening day by day. We want justice. ” Binud Kumar Hogoi told OUR INDIA in an interview.

” We are remained in darkness. The administration is not informing us the updates .We are poor people so are being neglected. ” Anima Gogoi , Nilotpl’s sister alleged. ” We suspect it a murder . He was strangulated to death . The truth must come out .” Said his sister, Pratibha , a teacher here .

Death of students in Tezpur University is not a new incident. In past years ago such incidents were reported.

Nilotpal was a permanent resident of Bordubi Tea Estate under Phillobari police station in Tinsukia district of upper Assam. He was a final year student of M.Sc in Environmental Science. His father is a head fitter here in the Bordubi Tea Factory who will retire in December this year . Nilotpal was his only son .
