GUWAHATI, SEP 28: Dibrugarh doctor comimited suicide at his Milannagar residence by hanging on Wednesday.
The doctor have been identified as Utpal Dutta, Associate Professor of Anaesthesiology at Assam Medical College and Hospital.
According to police, his body was found hanging in his room on Wednesday morning.
Dibrugarh Additional superitendent of police (HQ) Bitul Chetia said, “Utpal Dutta was suffering from depression for last two year and under psychiatric treatment. Last night he and his wife are sitting together after that he went to his room. His wife on Wednesday morning found him hanging in his room.”
“He was taking psychiatric medicine regularly. His body was sent for post mortem,” Chetia said.
