Assam: NAAC gives grade ‘A’ to DHSK college

GUWAHATI: Historic DHS Kanoi  College,Dibrugarh, received an ‘A’ grade of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) on Tuesday.  With the declaration of the ‘A’ grade for a period for five years starting from Tuesday by the NAAC, a festive atmosphere has been prevailing in the College.

 Dr. S. K. Saikia, Principal of the college expressing happiness said that “we are very happy to achieve the ‘A’  grade by NAAC, for which we were working hard for the last five years to increase the overall quality of the College. Our teachers, students, non-teaching staff along with all associated staff of the college had tried their best, specially our GB member Jyoti P Kanoi.

This accreditation will build the confidence level in the entire district of Dibrugarh and boost up the young generation staying in Dibrugarh, said Dr Saikia. He also added, “This is not just a grade but it will spread a message that by staying in Dibrugarh  also we can achieve our goals.”

Academic Coordinator  Dr A. K. Dutta and Coordinator, IQAC Dr Mridul Sarma  of  DHSK College, Dibrugarh said that, “We have followed the guidelines of NAAC and made our policy to follow the norms by our stakeholders, teachers, faculty members, non- teaching staff and the students. All of them have given their best, because of this, we have achieved such a recognition from the NAAC.”
