Assam: Over 300 people joins in Raijor Dal in Dibrugarh

GUWAHATI, AUG 4: Over 300 new member joined in Raijor Dal in presence of Raijor Dal president Akhil Gogoi at Amolapatty Natya mandir in upper Assam Dibrugarh on Thursday.

Raijor Dal organised a mass joining programme in Dibrugarh. People from various walks of life joined in the regional party.

Talking to media persons on Thursday, Akhil Gogoi said, “We have started our membership drive in Assam. The membership drive was kick started in Sivasagar. Today, we have organised the joining programme in Dibrugarh and got a good response from people. Many people joined in our party,”.

“The people have been showing interest in our party and many people have joined. We are trying to create a strong base of our party in upper Assam. Our main objective is to strengthen regionalism,” Akhil Gogoi said.

Gogoi further added, “Our main priority is regionalism and we are trying to strengthen regionalism among the people. The membership drive will continue in every districts of Assam,”.

 “The Centre government is planning to implement CAA in Assam and they have already announced it. We are clear with our stand, we didn’t give CAA to implement in Assam. Our fight against CAA will continue and if they want to impose CAA then every Assamese should come out in protest against CAA,” he asserted.
