Guwahati: A three days workshop on “Yoga for Women” was organised at Pandu College, Guwahati by the Education (Yogic Science) Department of Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University, Nalbari, Assam from 26th to 28th June, 2023 in collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS) and Women Cell of Pandu College.
The inaugural ceremony was conducted by Dr. Shantanu Roychowdhury, Programme Officer, NSS and Ms Jayita Das, representative of Women Cell, Pandu College was the appointed speaker. Ms. Garima Devi, faculty, Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University explained the motif of the workshop.
More than sixty participants participated in the workshop which was conducted by Ms Garima Devi and assisted by Ms Debahuti Sarma and Ms Sangita Talukdar, both trainees of the University.
Dr. Binita Tamuli Barman, coordinator, Women Cell, Pandu College was present at the velidictory ceremony.
She offered gratitude towards the Resource Persons of the workshop and Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University for taking the initiative to spread the message of Yoga.
