Guwahati: BJP national president JP Nadda on Friday said that Tripura which a land of insurgency and violence has become a state possessing Peace, Development and Prosperity.
Nadda arrived in poll-bound Tripura on Friday to campaign for their party candidates.
While addressing a Vijay Sankalp rally at Amarpur in the Gomati district in Tripura, JP Nadda said, “In last five years, Tripura has witnessed a lots of development under BJP. We are committed to work for the development of the state. We are sure that we will form the next government in Tripura,”.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the state of Tripura could also make progress just like any other part of the country. In last five years, under Biplab Kumar Deb and Manik Saha, Tripura has proved. The people of the state have decided to form the government again,” Nadda asserted.
The BJP president said, “This is not an old Tripura anymore, this is a ‘New Tripura’, filled with aspirations and achievements. The double-engine government has truly transformed the picture of the state.”
“Five years ago, Tripura was a land of insurgency, violence, bandh, strikes and terrorism. But now under BJP peace has returned in the state. Most of the insurgent groups have returned to mainstream. We are committed to work for the development of the state,” Nadda asserted.
Tripura will go for polls on February 16 and the result will be declared on March 2.
