Tripura polls: PM Narendra Modi says Cong- Left parties treated people of Tripura as slaves and themselves as kings

Guwahati, Feb 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday lashed out at Congress and Left parties for treated the people of Tripura as slaves and themselves as kings.

Addressing at Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala this evening, PM Modi said, “Entire Tripura is saying FIR ek baar BJP Sarkar. The people of Tripura has shown the red card to the Chanda and Jhanda company and decided to vote for double engine government,”.

“Development can be seen in Tripura. There is no family left in Tripura where they has not been benefitted from schemes. BJP has established good governance in the state. Left front has pushed the state towards destruction, that’s something people can’t forget. Earlier, Tripura was infested with violence and bloodshed. BJP government in Tripura established peace and law and order,” Narendra Modi said.

He further said, “People of Tripura need sabka Saaath, Sabka Vikas government.
There was time when only one party campaign was seen. You removed red signal and brought BJP’S double engine and Tripura is back on development track. Left, Congress and their like minded parties kept Tripura poor,”.

“When I became PM in 2014 I used to tell the Left front government go to the poor. They had only one point agenda – collect Chanda, put up jhanda and maro danda. If Left and Congress comes to power they will siphon off the money. But when you have BJP government in Centre and State the benefits are unlimited. BJP is the only guarantee of security and development in Tripura,” Modi reiterated.

PM Modi further added, “The left cadres have captured everywhere in Tripura for last 27 years. They occupied the government offices, police stations and trade business in the state. The Left treated the people of Tripura as slaves and themselves as kings. I want to remind the people of the state that Congess and Left can never develop Tripura because they had drove the state into backwardness and violence for last several years. After we formed government in Tripura, we established peace, law and order in the state,”.
