In a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu on Wednesday, India’s defence minister Rajnath Singh reaffirmed the country’s position that the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine must be resolved through dialogue and stressed that neither side should use nuclear weapons.

Singh emphasised that neither side should use nuclear weapons because doing so goes against the fundamental principles of humanity, according to a report by news agency ANI. This follows Shoigu’s mention of Russia’s worries on the potential use of a “dirty bomb” by Ukraine, the report claims.
We should recall that Rajnath Singh and Shoigu spoke on the phone at their mutual request, and they spoke about bilateral defence cooperation and the deteriorating situation in Ukraine.
Using nuclear weapons in the ongoing fight, according to US Vice President Joe Biden, would be a “extremely serious error.” At the White House on Tuesday, Biden said, “Let me just say: Russia would make an enormously severe mistake if it uses a tactical nuclear bomb.
President Biden was precise in his remarks, said White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. “He repeated it today. Using nuclear weapons by Russia in Ukraine would be a grave error with serious repercussions.
