‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ Actor Arun Bali passes away at the age of 79

Arun Bali, well known for his work in the films like Laal Singh Chaddha, Paanipat, Kedarnath and 3 idiots,died on Friday morning (October 7) at his residence in suburban Mumbai. The senior actor, who appeared in numerous Films & TV shows, was 79 years old.

Ankush, Bali’s son, said his father had Myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune condition characterised by nerve and muscle communication failure. For which he was brought to a hospital earlier this year. Ankush stated that his father was responding well to the treatment but died about 4.30 a.m.

“My father left us. He was suffering from Myasthenia gravis. He had mood swings for two-three days. He told the caretaker he wanted to go to the washroom and after coming out he told him he wanted to sit down and he never got up then,” he told PTI.

Arun Bali began his career in 1989 with the television show Doosra Kewal. He became well-known for his performance as King Porus in the 1991 historical drama Chanakya. He later rose to fame after appearing in the TV series Kumkum in 2002.

He has also acted in a number of blockbuster movies, such as Kedarnath, Satya, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, Ready, Barfi, Airlift, Baaghi, Manmarziyaan, and Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman. Recently, He appeared in Aamir Khan’s film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha.’ and Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Goodbye’.
