BJP workers hurled stones, injured child, claims AAP Gujarat chief Gopal Italia

Gopal Italia, the president of the Gujarat Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), claimed on Saturday that BJP supporters threw rocks at a crowd he was speaking to at a public event in the Surat district of Katargam.

The party’s president for Gujarat also claimed that stone-pelting injured one child.

Italia tweeted, “BJP goons pelted stones at my public meeting today, injuring a child, due to the fear of losing the Katargam Assembly election.”

“They would not have thrown stones at a public meeting of the Aam Aadmi Party had they done any work in the last 27 years,” added Italia.

Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister of Delhi, wrote in response to the controversy, “The fear of losing Gujarat and MCD has tarnished the BJP’s mind. What does the BJP goon hope to accomplish by throwing stones besides instil fear in Kejriwal Ji? They will only hold onto power for a few days. People will make decisions regarding the BJP’s transgressions. Gujarat will hold two rounds of voting. Voting will take place in two phases: the first on December 1 and the second on December 5. December 8 is the date for the counting.
