Gujarat is all set to vote in 2 phases on December 1 and 5, results on December 8

The schedule for Gujarat’s assembly elections was released by the Election Commission on Thursday. On December 1, the state will hold elections in the region where the BJP is currently in power.

Gujarat will hold its assembly elections in two stages. Vote tallying will happen on December 8. The first round of voting will occur on December 1, and the second round will be held on December 5.

Gujarat’s Legislative Assembly has 182 members.  This election will feature three-way fight between the BJP, which is currently in power, the Congress, and the Aam Aadmi Party.

Date of issue of notification: November 5

Last date for filing nomination: November 14

Date of scrutiny: November 15

Last date of withdrawal of nomination: November 17

Date of poll: December 1

Announcement of results: December 8

PHASE 2

Date of issue of notification: November 10

Last date for filing nomination: November 17

Date of scrutiny: November 18

Last date of withdrawal of nomination: November 21

Date of poll: December 5

Announcement of results: December 8
