Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal pays tribute to the Iron Man of India Sardar Patel at his hometown Karamsad

GUWAHATI, SEP 14: The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday visited the memorial of Bharat Ratna, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel at his hometown in Karamsad in the Anand district of Gujarat.

The Minister offered floral tributes at the memorial of the Iron Man of India, as Sardar ji is popularly referred, and remembered how his commitment and devotion towards country’s progress and development continue to inspire people at large.

Sonowal also remembered the immense contribution of noted Indian political leader & elder brother of Sardar Patel, Vithalbhai Patel, to the Swaraj movement after offering tributes at the bust erected in his memory.

 Speaking after visiting the memorial, the Union Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal, said, “It is a moment of gratification for me to visit the Karmabhoomi of Sardar Valabh Bhai Patel today. The contribution of these great sons of India, along with his elder brother Vithal Bhai Patel, is immense in building the nation. I offer my heartfelt respect to their commitment and dedication. I sincerely believe that their deeds continues to inspire the youth of the country even today in their urge to build a new India. Inspired by Sardar Patel ji, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji toiled really hard to build India as the best country in the world. I seek blessings from Sardar Patel ji to give us Shakti & Bhakti to build a strong & proud India.”
