PM Modi’s idea of ‘one nation, one police uniform’, warns about fake news according to Hindustan times Report

The upkeep of law and order is the province of the states, but it also has an impact on the integrity and unity of the nation, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As crime becomes more interstate and worldwide, the prime minister remarked that law and order are not limited to a jurisdiction. Regarding the exploitation of technology by criminals from outside the border, PM Modi emphasised the necessity of cooperation between local and federal law enforcement authorities.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the two-day Chintan Shivir is an endeavour to provide a national perspective to policy creation on issues relating to internal security (PMO). A few of the subjects that will be covered during the Shivir include the modernization of police forces, prevention of cybercrime, increased use of IT in the criminal justice system, management of land borders, coastal security, women’s safety, and drug trafficking.
