GUWAHATI, NOV 18: The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday attended the 5th Naturopathy Day at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre in Agartala. The event was organised by the Indian Naturopathy Organisation, Surya Foundation.
The Minister also visited the exhibition on Naturopathy and Ayush held on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sonowal said, “Naturopathy is one of the most natural way of treating ailments. It has been serving the humanity for so long. I want to use this opportunity to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all those practitioners and exponents of Naturopathy who has been contribution towards the growth of this practice for the betterment and enrichment of human lives. Our rich heritage of thousands of years has given us traditional medicinal practices which has been enriching human lives since time immemorial. Naturopathy is an important part of this traditional practice of medicine. Under the dynamic leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modiji, the traditional medicinal practices has gained tremendous popularity among people not just in India but across the world. With its proven quality to enrich lives, all these practices including Naturopathy has been instrumental in providing a better mental and physical health of people from all walks of life. I call upon all of you to continue your journey towards enriching human lives and become a force to reckon with when it comes to healing lives and minds.”
It must be noted that the Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the Pune based National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN) where he interacted with the stakeholders and experts of Naturopathy at length. The Minister also visited and revised the progress of work in the upcoming National Naturopathy Institute which is being build with an investment of more than ₹200 crores.
