CV Ananda Bose appointed West Bengal Governor

On Thursday, Dr. CV Ananda Bose was named governor of West Bengal. The hiring of CV Ananda Bose will become official on the day he assumes control of his position.

 

A statement from the Rashtrapati Bhavan announced CV Ananda Bose’s appointment. The announcement read, “The President of India is pleased to designate Dr. C V Ananda Bose as the regular Governor of West Bengal.”

 

Since his predecessor Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned after being named the vice presidential candidate of the National Democratic Alliance, Manipur Governor La Ganesan has also been in charge of West Bengal.

 

The Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship was awarded to Mr. Bose. Additionally, he is the first-ever Fellow of Mussoorie’s Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, which prepares top civil service officials. Mr. Bose is a well-known author and columnist who has written 40 volumes, including novels, short tales, poems, and essays, in English, Malayalam, and Hindi.
