Murshidabad: Illegal shopping complex demolished in Bharatpur after bulldozers, Kandi in Bengal

The illegal shopping facility is once more being demolished by the District Public Works Department. According to the Calcutta High Court’s order, this work has begun. Earlier, the Kandi, Murshidabad, unlawful building was demolished by the works department. The bulldozer then returned to Bharatpur.

Incidentally, the shopping complex was built at the initiative of the Bharatpur Panchayat Samiti at the site of the District Works Department. Then a housewife filed a case in Calcutta High Court. After the case, a part of the shopping complex was demolished by bulldozer on October 22, Bharatpur Block No. 1 administration. Later the case was filed again in Calcutta High Court.

In that case, the High Court ordered the entire shopping complex to be demolished. According to the orders of the Calcutta High Court, the District Works Department started the work of demolishing the illegal construction of the shopping complex with bulldozers from Wednesday morning. Bharatpur police station has been deployed as an additional precaution to prevent any untoward incident during the demolition of the shopping complex.

A businessman said in this regard, “First he said that the road will be big. Then he said that the market will be created. It was made but left for two years. Nothing happened. Instead, our business was closed.” Another trader said, “When this market was demolished, our area leaders took us to the BDO office and promised that we will get the shophouse. But nothing happened.
