Rahul Gandhi shakes his legs join tribal dancer during Bharat Jodo Yatra in Telengana

Rahul Gandhi, a Congressman from Telangana, took part in a traditional tribal dance on Saturday, only hours after commencing the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Dharmapur.

In Telangana’s Bhadrachalam, the Congress MP took part in an ancient art form dance called “Kommu Koya” while sporting tribal headgear.

When Rahul Gandhi resumed his Yatra from Telangana’s Narayanpet district after a three-day Diwali break, he played dhol with local musicians. The former president of the Congress had already danced to tribal music, so this was nothing new. Rahul Gandhi took part in the 2019 Raipur National Tribal Dance Festival in Chhattisgarh.

Meanwhile, On Friday, Bollywood actor Swara Bhasker commended Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and said it was admirable considering the state of the nation. The Bollywood actor claimed that despite ongoing personal attacks, Rahul Gandhi has not opted for “sensationalist politics” while sharing a television clip of the yatra. Swara Bhaskar’s admiration for the yatra was appreciated by Congress leader Jairam Ramesh. He tweeted, sharing Swara Bhaskar’s tweet, “Finally.”
