Durga Puja 2022: The theme of Badam Tala Ashar Shangha focuses on cycle of Life

Kolkata’s top puja pandal highlights the cycle of Life Badam Tala Ahar Shangha. The puja committee is celebrating the 84th year and they have created a huge mark on their work of art. However, the puja committee has digitally partnered with MY Kolkata.

They are focussing on the footprints of Man’s journey of life. According to the Report, the Puja Committee highlights how the next generation is taking the journey of different phases.

The idol of Durga says that goodness meditating and the theme will focus on Almighty is the epicenter of all creation including humans. It is one of the most famous in South Kolkata. The budget of the puja is somewhere around 30 to 35 lakhs. Badam Tala Ashar Sangha has created a name for itself in the past with its pandal artwork.

The South Bengali tribal forts were depicted in Jangalgarh in 2003; a fishing community was portrayed in Jelepara in 2002; heaven was shown in Deblok in 2007; and block printing was used in Badam tala in 2008. Even during the COVID times, the organizers contributed. “In 2020, we collaborated with two additional neighborhood clubs, and three pandals were constructed to commemorate Satyajit Ray’s Apu trilogy.

On the centennial of the maestro’s birth, it served as a tribute. All three clubs coordinated a drive-in puja in 2021 so that guests could view the pandals and idols without getting out of their cars. According to Chakraborty, this was done to escape the throng and congestion.

The Badam Tala Ashar Sangha puja is near to the Rasabihari crossing. The distance from the Metro station to Chetla is ten minutes on foot. From the nearest Metro station, Kalighat, to their location, one can take a bus or share an auto. Given that the pandal is situated between two bus stations, walking is the best alternative for getting there from the Metro station.
