Assam: Herbal tea party , books & long drives on hilly islands that’s how the elite class entertain this summer

Guwahati: The 35 degree celcius temperatures in capital Guwahati which feel like 45 degree celcius may be a tough time for others in the beginning of this june. But the well to do class of society has his own reasons to enjoy this summer.

There are thousands places of tourists attraction in Assam itself covered with mountains and water bodies. Majuli island is one of them suitable for summer. Besides, the neighboring Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Nagaland also worth visiting. Meghalaya is mostly visited during summer seasons.

The weather conditions in Assam and the North East is frequently changing. The cause is- global warming.

In the last week of April this year, a severe hailstorm lashed Assam’s Tinsukia district claiming two lives. The hailstorm left a trail of destruction, several trees and electricity poles were uprooted in many places which resulted in road getting blocked. The hailstorm also caused extensive damage to several houses.

Several tea gardens was also severely affected by hailstorm across Assam, India’s largest tea producer, leaving planters worried about premium varieties second flush tea.

However, the regional Metrological Department, Borjhar Guwahati,  on Thursday, issued watch thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds with a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour very likely at isolated places over Charaideo , Dibrugarh,  Cachar , Hailakandi, Karimganj, Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, thunderstorms with lightning very likely at isolated places over Kamrup , Sivasagar,  Tinsukia, Dima Hasao, Golaghat district in its district wise weather warning for today.
