Dibrugarh social activist urges citizens to take part in ‘Har Ghar Tringa’ campaign

Social activist Ammamuddin Ahmed of Dibrugarh has been hoisting 60-feet National flag at his residence for last five year with great patriotic fervor.

Ammamuddin, a resident of Paltanbazar, Chandmari of Dibrugarh has appealed every resident to hoist tri-colour in the ‘Har Ghar Tringa” campaign of the government.

“I am hosting this national flag from last 5 years this flag post height is around 60 feet.  This flag always reminds me about the pain and suffering of the general public during the British era and how we gain our independence. This flag also reminds me of the soldiers who had sacrificed their life for the sake of national flag.Being an Indian it is proud for me,” Ahmed said.

He further said, “Every year with my family and neighbours, we celebrate Independence Day, my hoisting tri-colour. I appeal everyone to hoist tri-colour in their home during the 75th Independence Day,”.

“This year the government has initiated ‘Har Ghar Tringa campaign’ as a mark of 75th years of Indian’s Independence. This year, the Independence Day, will be special for and we will be observed it in a grand manner,” he said.

He said, “For last five year, National flag has been  at my residence, and whenever I saw our National flag, it remind me of how India get Independence of the colonial rule and how our national heros had sacrificed their lives for Independence,”.

“My daughter Ifza shameela Ahmed is quite excited about Independence Day. I appealed everyone to come and hoist national flag to recall our history of Independence,”
