The centre is all set and has already taken the decision that the Pradhan Mantri Kalyan Yojana is set to stop. This scheme is for poor people in hard times.
However, the Center has already taken a decision, informed all the states, and sent a letter to various states. This scheme included 80 crore people; those who were poor would get 5 kg of grains, but now it has been stopped.
In December 2022, the Modi government will say the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana is one of the largest food security programmes in the world. However, if this one is stopped, then free rations will be provided under the Food Security Act, and the Center is all set to spend Rs 2 lakh crore on the distribution of rations. In the cabinet meeting with Narendra Modi they took a decision that 80 crore will get free food till December 2023.
According to the opinion of Agriculture and Farmer Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, there will be free rations delivered for the poor. This project has already cost around 3 lakh 90 thousand crore. Prime Minister Modi announced it in 2020 because the poor were not affected and the economic situation deteriorated during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Therefore, under the Antyodaya Yojana, the families will get 5 kg of food grains. This project has received 1118 metric tonnes of food donations.
As a result, on New Year’s Day, approximately 80 crore people will receive free food grains; this will be one of the most significant decisions made by the government. Under the National Food Security Act, the ration will be free, making it easier to provide food grains to the poor. The government will require approximately 2 lakh crore, and free rations will be provided.
Meanwhile, Shri Tomar, there are many schemes for one nation, and one ration card will be one of the most important things for the distribution of rations so that it will be easier for the distribution of food to the people.
